Wanitsuka Ikoi no Hiroba
*‘Wanitsuka Ikoi no Hiroba’ Notification of closure

Due to typhoon damage in 2006:walking, swimming, camping, tennis, and other recreation activities within ‘Wanitsuka Ikoi no Hiroba’ including the climbing of Wanitsuka mountain, are not possible.
In order to prevent further hazards resulting from a disaster, tree replanting and slope stabilization are now in progress. As construction vehicles are passing through this area, 'Wanitsuka Ikoi no Hiroba' is closed to the general public. The vicinity around the Wanitsuka mountain hiking trail entrance is also under construction so access to the mountain is prohibited.
The prefectural road from Tano train station to the summit of Wanitsuka mountain is also under reconstruction. Vehicles are unable to use the road from Ikoi no Hiroba to the mountain summit.
We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your cooperation and understanding.
